The Worldview of Islam Series (W.I.S.E.) is a 6 months intellectual discourse program, organized by Himpunan Keilmuan Muslim (HAKIM) and Curiosity Institute (CI), that will stand as an introductory course for understanding The World View of Islam. It is a continuation of the currently on going reading & discussion on Prof Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas idea of Ru'yatul Islam lil Wujud.
The W.I.S.E. program consists of 12 modules was divided into 2 semesters, covering variations of topics on the theme concerning the World View of Islam will be delivered by several respected scholars, some of whom being Professor al-Attas's foremost students. The classes will be scheduled on every Saturday from 9am till 1pm which will be conducted in dual languages (English and Malay).
As Muslims living in these confused and confusing times, it is incumbent upon us not to merely respond to the troubles facing the Ummah, but more importantly to confront the existential challenges of our age in an Islamic way that strikes a fine balance between encouraging innovation and restoring tradition.
It is hoped that with sincere and diligent application of correct knowledge coupled with patience, and employing a keen sense of justice tempered with wisdom, so that we may successfully restraint our anger and escape our narrow-mindedness, we shall merit the victory that Allah S.W.T. promised for those who truly believe in Him. Insya-Allah.
